Lake Tahoe and Truckee Nannies

SUSAN THOMSON
I am married. My husband and I live in Squaw Valley and are avid skiers.

Work Experience I have provided childcare on and off for approximately 30 years. I have worked in the ski industry for the last 15 years. I currently work to protect our water supply in our region. This winter I will be coaching kids skiing at Squaw for the Mighty Mights Program. I look forward to caring for your children while you enjoy your stay in Tahoe.

TENNESSEE FORD
I love to hike, bike, ski, and rock climb. My life goal is actually to be a pediatrician.

Work Experience I have worked with kids at the Park and Recreation summer camp and after school program.

SHARON DUNKLEY
My husband and I have lived in Truckee for 9 years. I am the mother of three grown children, the grandmother of two and the guardian to my 16 year old niece.

Work Experience In the past I have worked in day care centers and in sales and management. I am retired now and love to work with children of all ages.

CHERYL GREIG
I enjoy being outdoors, taking photos, creating crafty projects, travelling, and learning new things. I am a ski coach with the Mighty Mights at Squaw Valley.

Work Experience I have been a swim instructor for preschool-school-age children, overnight camp counselor, preschool day camp leader, preschool teacher, and nanny. I have worked as a program monitor with adolescents and a field instructor with adolescents in the wilderness. I have cared for children of all ages in various environments.

TAMI VOGEL
I am 35 years old. I enjoy spending time with my 2 horses and small dog. I have worked in the child care industry and as a security for a number of years. I also have an autistic nephew whom I have spent time taking care of and really enjoy his company.

Work Experience I have taught numerous equine summer camps for kids and as such have been around children my whole life.

KELLY MACLELLAN
I moved here from eastern Canada two years ago. I love the mountains and hiking the trails with my dogs. I am the youngest of 8 children and come from a large Catholic family. Currently I have 13 nieces and nephews which I love spending time with.

Work Experience I spent numerous years teaching children to ride and educational lectures to preschoolers on the environment and nature.

ELISSA WOLF BLANK
I grew up in Norfolk, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I moved out to the West Shore of Lake Tahoe September of 2009. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking and skiing, playing with my dogs, doing yoga am always ready to do arts and craft activities.

Work Experience I have been in childcare for well over ten years and love all that it has taught me about life. I taught beginner ski lessons at Homewood resort last winter.

JONI STAEMPLE
I have raised 3 children in Tahoe and love all that this area has to offer!

Work Experience I am a Childhood Development Specialist, Certified Waldorf Educator, and ski instructor. I love children of all ages. Supporting them in their healthy play and growth is my delight. I look forward to caring for your children during your time in Tahoe.

TARA BULTJE
Part of my childhood was spent in the Midwest on a lake and the other part was in the mountains of Colorado.

Work Experience I play the piano, love to read, and enjoy being active outside. I was a multiple sport athlete. I love the snow just as much as the hot summer sunshine! I love to snowboard in the winter, was a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons for many years. I graduated from the University of Colorado with my History degree.

CHRISTINA HALE
I grew up in the Bay Area but moved to the Tahoe area in 2007 and love the slow paced life. I enjoy hiking or snowboarding with my husband and our two children.

Work ExperienceBefore I had my kids I was a preschool teacher for 6 years. I am a very organized and creative person and love to do arts and crafts. I have been a nanny and babysitter since my kids were born.

JACLYN MILLER
I am married. I enjoy riding horses and spending time with friends and family.

Work Experience I have helped to raise my five brothers and sisters. I have also babysat friends and neighbors children throughout the years.

ANNA MELGOZA
I am currently enrolled at Sierra College at the Tahoe/Truckee campus working towards my degree in accounting.

Work Experience I really love being around kids and seeing their faces light up when I show them new things, teach them about facts they don't know and help them be creative. I like being outside with kids: walks or going to the beach at Lake Tahoe on warm days, plus the winter activities that I would do with my cousins: sledding and building snowmen. I'm bilingual in Spanish and English.

ASLEE COLOMBINI
I enjoy working and being creative with kids of all ages. I have many hobbies but two of my favorites are cooking and reading.

Work Experience I have babysat family members' children and for family friends.

GABY ALCARAZ
I'm 22 years old, married with no children. I grew up in Truckee, CA and live in Reno, NV. I am fluent in Spanish and English and would love to teach children a second language. I am working towards earning a degree in Early Child Hood Education at Sierra College.

Work Experience I've worked at an in-home daycare helping with reading, small projects, snack, story time, etc. I've also worked at an Elementary school and was a babysitter/nanny on the side.

KRISTINE HARMON
I am recently married. I enjoy playing the piano, dancing, and doing photography with my husband.

Work Experience I am currently a nanny for three beautiful children. I started babysitting when I was twelve, which later turned into me being a nanny for a few different families. Kids have always been such a passion of mine. I recently started teaching Jr. Church at my church.

LAUREN TILLET
I was born and raised in the Reno/Sparks area. I am a student at the University of Reno, Nevada studying Community Health Science with a minor in Spanish. I love animals, traveling, reading, arts and crafts, and spending time outdoors, or with my family and friends.

Work Experience I have worked as a nanny/sitter for a number of local families and have volunteered at many local elementary schools.

RHONDA SANTEN
I have been married for 21 years and have lived in Truckee for the past 7 years. I have two wonderful children who are now 17 and 20 years old. I was a stay at home mom for 16 years. Besides spending time with my family, I like to take my dog on hikes, snowshoe and ski.

Work Experience I home schooled my children for 3 years. I taught preschool bible school for 5 years at Community Bible Study and was the director of Vacation Bible School preschool program.

KATE CARLEVATO
I am a 19 year old student. I have always enjoyed taking care of children-even when I was a child myself!

Work Experience At the age of 12 through high school, I babysat for a family of three with ages of 1, 3, and 6 years old. After my scholar year for study abroad in France, I was a nanny for a 9 year old boy. I would pick him up from school every day, chaperone him at the park, accompany him to appointments around the Paris, prepare his dinner, and assist with bedtime preparations.
